Who we are

Webshop Toolkit is published by Smartin Studios BV, Osloweg 131, Groningen, Netherlands. Smartin Studios BV is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact hello@webshoptoolkit.com with privacy questions or requests.

Joining the newsletter

We collect your email address and records of your signup, confirmation and subscription status so we can send the free weekly briefing you request. MailerLite processes these details for us and may record technical information such as IP address, signup time, form activity and email delivery and link-click events. Open tracking is disabled in our current welcome email and default campaign settings; future campaigns are checked before sending. MailerLite may also process form activity. We use this information to manage subscriptions, prevent abuse and understand whether our emails are useful.

Newsletter sending is based on your consent. Tick the signup box and confirm your address by email to subscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent.

Website visits and messages

Our hosting provider processes technical connection and security logs, including IP addresses, to operate and protect this website. If you email us, we process your address and message to respond and keep necessary correspondence records. These activities support our legitimate interests in operating the publication, maintaining security and answering enquiries. We use AI-assisted tools to help review incoming enquiries and prepare responses; please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Optional analytics and cookie choices

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure page visits, engagement and where visitors find our articles. This may include a pseudonymous browser identifier, pages and links viewed, referral or campaign tags, approximate location and device information. We use consent as the basis for this optional analytics processing. We do not send newsletter email addresses to Google Analytics.

Use the consent banner to accept or reject optional cookies. You can reopen it using the Manage consent control and change your choice at any time. Reading articles and joining the newsletter do not require analytics consent. Complianz and WP Consent API store your choices so the website can apply them. Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_E2BSHK516L after consent; consent-preference cookies use cmplz_ and wp_consent_ names. Consent choices may be remembered for up to one year; Analytics cookies may last up to two years unless you delete them earlier. These periods are separate from the retention of aggregated reports.

Google processes Analytics information under its applicable data-protection arrangements. See how Google uses information from sites using its services. Consent mode may communicate consent status to Google without analytics cookies; rejecting cookies does not mean that necessary hosting or newsletter-form requests stop. We have not enabled advertising campaigns or remarketing for this publication.

Service providers

We use Namecheap hosting and MailerLite for newsletter forms and email delivery, and OpenAI tools to assist publication and inbox work. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under their applicable data-protection arrangements. See MailerLite’s privacy information, its data-processing agreement, Namecheap’s privacy policy and OpenAI’s privacy policy. We do not sell our subscriber list.

How long information is kept

We keep active subscription information while you subscribe. After you unsubscribe, limited suppression and consent records may remain so we can respect your choice and handle complaints. Correspondence and technical records are kept only as needed for their purpose or applicable obligations. You can ask us about retention or request deletion.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us using the email above. You can also complain to the Dutch data-protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or your local supervisory authority.

Changes

We will update this notice when our services or use of personal information changes.
