Shopify adds DHL labels in the Netherlands and Poland — check the delivery limits
Label buying moves into the admin, but destination coverage, drop-off and returns still determine whether it fits your shop.

Shopify merchants dispatching from the Netherlands or Poland can buy DHL eCommerce labels inside their admin, following a rollout announced on 16 October. Shopify says the labels use discounted rates, with no additional platform fee beyond the existing plan. Merchants still pay for each label.
The destination rules differ. Dutch fulfilment locations can use the service for eligible domestic addresses, with parcels handed over at a service point or locker. Shopify’s current Polish documentation covers eligible domestic and other EU destinations, with locker drop-off. Neither service includes scheduled pickups.
There are other operational limits. The Dutch service does not provide return labels or signature on delivery. In both countries, these DHL carrier-calculated rates are unavailable at checkout. Buying a label in the admin therefore does not, by itself, set the delivery price shoppers see.
Shopify says order details are prefilled, labels can be printed in batches, and tracking and fulfilment status update through the order workflow.
Our take: this is worth comparing if your dispatch location and parcel routes fit. Price a representative parcel and include the time spent on drop-off, returns arrangements and any services you would lose. The announcement gives no universal parcel price or quantified saving against an existing contract; a discounted label is not evidence that switching will lower your total delivery cost.
